Consolidation of Recertification Dates

One Date for All

Have you ever been challenged by the process of maintaining multiple certification renewals that fall on different dates? Then you will appreciate this process simplification. Beginning onJanuary 18, 2008,all recertification renewal dates are consolidated into a single date.

What do you need to do?NOTHING!When you submit your next certification renewal, your certification will be assigned its next three-year renewal date. If you have more than one certification, these recertification dates will be reassigned automatically to match. You will still submit Recertification Units (RUs) and a fee, as usual.

Example
Joe has the 3 certifications in the table below. He completes a Recertification Form and pays one recertification fee to renew his BCT certification.

Current Certifications Start Date Renewal Date
BCT 7/1/05 7/1/08
BPS 10/15/06 10/15/09
BDS 10/15/06 10/15/09

The renewal date for the BCT certification will be extended for 3 years. In addition, the BPS and BDS renewal dates will be aligned with the BCT date.

Current CertificationsAfter Recertification Start Date New Renewal Date
BCT 7/1/05 7/1/11
BPS 10/15/06 7/1/11
BDS 10/15/06 7/1/11

Going forward, Joe will renew all of his certifications on the same date for one fee.His Recertification Units (RUs) will need to be earned during the 3 years prior to his renewal date, in other words between 7/1/08 and 7/1/11.
